About The Position

Meridian Senior Living is hiring a part-time Dining Room Server at Smithfield Woods in Smithfield, Rhode Island. Servers deliver meals to residents and guests in a timely manner and according to schedule, while providing first-class customer service. The role is part of the dietary team and supports a smooth, efficient, and safe kitchen operation. The position is suited to people beginning a culinary career as well as experienced servers.

Requirements

Be able to read, write, and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job.
Obtain a Food Handlers Permit if required by state regulations.
Have compassion for and a desire to work with seniors.
Be honest, fair, dependable, and respectful of confidentiality and the rights and privacy of others.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors, and the general public.
Meet all health requirements and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

Deliver meals to residents and guests in a timely manner and according to schedule.
Provide courteous and professional service to residents and guests.
Work as part of the dietary team to help ensure a smooth, efficient, and safe kitchen operation.
Perform job duties for residents and with team members in a courteous and professional manner.
