About The Position

The Server Trainee is passionate about food and customer service and helps create an excellent guest experience. The role serves guests in a restaurant setting, including explaining the menu, grilling meats at the table, taking and delivering orders, and maintaining service areas.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Food Handler’s Card.
• Responsible Beverage Service Certification.
• At least one year of prior server experience.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to lift and/or move objects up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to communicate food and beverage knowledge and orders.
• Ability to safely perform duties in a restaurant setting.

Nice To Haves

• Server experience in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant setting.
• Grill experience.
• Basic knowledge of a wide variety of cuts of meat.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers.
• Explain the menu to customers.
• Grill meats at the table.
• Upsell sides and drinks.
• Enter food and beverage orders in the POS system.
• Transport food and beverages safely.
• Set up and break down dining areas.
• Sanitize, refill, and stock service areas.
• Process payments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
