About The Position

Saratoga Retirement Community is seeking a Server I to join its 5-star, 94-bed skilled nursing facility in Saratoga, California. Servers assist residents with meal selections and orders, deliver food, maintain dining tables, and may perform light kitchen duties. The role also includes observing residents to support safety in dining areas. Pay is $22.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have effective English verbal and written communication skills.
• Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen; other screenings, including a physical, fingerprinting, or TB test, may be required under state or local guidelines.

Nice To Haves

• Previous server experience is highly preferred.
• Six months or more of experience in long-term care, home care, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience using point-of-sale (POS) transactional systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with meal selection, including menu orders, buffet or à la carte choices, and buffet stations as needed.
• Present menus, answer questions, and suggest meal choices.
• Record residents’ orders and relay them to the kitchen production area.
• Know menu choices, ingredients, and preparation methods.
• Deliver food efficiently and quickly, assisting residents as needed.
• Clear, clean, and reset tables for the next meal service.
• Assist with light kitchen duties such as maintaining salad bars, serving soup, portioning desserts, and brewing coffee.
• Observe residents to help ensure safety in dining areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
