About The Position

AM Bistro Server/Barista at Newark UD Courtyard. This role involves preparing and serving Starbucks® coffee beverages and bistro menu items, taking guest orders, delivering food and beverages, processing payments, and maintaining cleanliness. The position requires adherence to food and beverage safety standards and effective communication with management and team members. Responsibilities also include completing opening/closing procedures and assisting in other areas as needed.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of experience in food service or hospitality
Meet the state age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages
Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional attitude
ServSafe and/or food safety certification (or willingness to obtain)
High school diploma or equivalent (some college a plus)

Nice To Haves

Alcohol awareness training (TIPS or equivalent) preferred
Knowledge of local attractions is a bonus — help guests plan their day!
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve Starbucks® coffee beverages and bistro menu items with accuracy and speed
Take guest orders, deliver food & beverages to tables, and ensure every guest feels welcomed
Collect payments and process transactions accurately
Keep the Bistro area sparkling clean and fully stocked
Follow all food & beverage safety standards (hotel, Shaner, and Marriott requirements)
Communicate effectively with the GM, department managers, and fellow team members
Complete opening/closing procedures and daily operational checklists
