About The Position

This is a part-time, seasonal position responsible for delivering and serving food and beverage items to banquet guests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner. The role involves assisting with set up and teardown, and aiding other banquet staff. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.

Requirements

• Effective communication skills, oral & written.
• Strong sense of customer service & safety awareness.
• Able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Neat & clean appearance in compliance with the company grooming standards.
• Punctual, able to report at scheduled start time.
• Able to work well as part of a team.
• Able to remain patient, calm, and composed in a fast-paced, high-volume demanding environment.
• Able to multi-task and handle high-volume service demands.
• High School Diploma or GED
• One year serving experience
• Must have or be able to obtain a California Food Handlers card.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

• Knowledge and familiarity with Palisades Tahoe.

Responsibilities

• Assist with dining area and buffet line set up as needed.
• Serve guests at the buffet line with standard portion sizes, considering guest requests.
• Ensure the timing and flow of service is correctly paced.
• Set up serving trays and carry trays to the dining area.
• Refill beverages, rolls, and condiments as needed.
• Communicate with wait staff, cooks, and managers about guest needs and business levels.
• Bus tables and carry plates and glasses to the bus station or dish station.
• Assist with the breakdown of events.
• Exhibit menu, beverage, and wine knowledge.
• Adhere to all state liquor laws and state health regulations.
• Adhere to the Palisades Tahoe Safety policy and all other company standards, policies, and procedures.
