About The Position

The Server Assistant removes used dishes and tableware and prepares tables professionally for new guests. The role helps expedite restaurant floor service and seat guests in a timely manner. The position involves supporting waiters and kitchen staff and completing assigned cleaning and service tasks. It is physically and mentally demanding, with extended periods on one's feet and work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Obtain Louisiana Responsible Vendor Training (Bar Card) certification within 30 days of hire.
Physical stamina to lift and carry heavy items, including dishes and tubs.
Ability to stay calm and work efficiently under pressure.
Ability to prioritize job duties and manage time effectively.
Strong verbal communication skills; English reading and speaking may be required to communicate with customers and coworkers and use equipment manuals.
Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to read menus, safety documents, and other work-related documents.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and carry trays weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work well under pressure and demonstrate tact and patience with coworkers and customers.
Ability to talk and hear, and to perform occasional sitting, handling objects, reaching, climbing or balancing, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
