About The Position

Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village is seeking a Server Assistant to join its Onyx team. The position assists servers in providing guests with an enjoyable dining experience while meeting the restaurant’s standards for quality, professionalism, and friendliness. The Server Assistant clears and resets tables promptly and completely according to specifications while attending to guest needs and requests. The role includes helping with guest service, transporting food from the kitchen accurately and promptly, removing items from tables, and breaking down, cleaning, and setting up tables, buffets, and food stations. It also involves preparing service areas and tableware, replenishing supplies, assisting with simple food and beverage preparation, greeting guests, serving and explaining food and beverages, anticipating guest needs, and preparing condiments and garnishes.

Requirements

High school education or equivalent experience.
One year of previous experience in a luxury Food and Beverage outlet.
Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English.
Strong communication skills with co-workers and guests.

Responsibilities

Assist with guest service, including retrieving food from the kitchen and safely transporting and delivering it accurately and promptly.
Remove items from guests’ tables.
Break down, clean, and set up tables, buffets, and food stations.
Clear, clean, and set up tables, chairs, linens, china, glassware, and silverware unobtrusively.
Stock linen, china, silverware, and glassware for service, ensuring items are polished and in good condition.
Assist in preparing smaller items such as toast, soup, or beverages.
Greet guests professionally and serve food and beverages while explaining their contents.
Anticipate and attend to guests’ needs before they make requests.
Prepare condiments and garnishes.
