About The Position

Set up and clear tables, stock service stations, and assist food servers in accordance with established guest service and sustainability standards. The role may provide a potential career path to Food Runner, Restaurant Server, and Restaurant Floor Manager.

The position is at The Rittenhouse Hotel, part of HHM Hotels’ Echelon Luxury & Lifestyle division. The hotel is located in downtown Philadelphia near Rittenhouse Square, museums, cultural attractions, shopping, and the business district.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including extended periods of standing and walking; pushing; lifting up to 50 pounds; bending and reaching; and stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
• Availability for a schedule that varies and may include holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Clear dirty table settings and prepare tables for resetting.
• Maintain the stock and cleanliness of stations for all meal periods.
• Serve guests beverages, bread, and butter at the start of their dining experience and replenish items as needed.
• Transport dirty tableware from the dining room to the dishwashing area.
• Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.
• Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment, and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
