About The Position

Pier Teaki, located at the edge of the St. Pete Pier, is part of the Teak and Birchwood family. The restaurant is seeking team members for its rooftop tiki bar who share its commitment to high-quality hospitality, dining, and nightlife in Saint Petersburg. The Server Assistant supports servers and helps keep the dining areas clean and maintained throughout the shift.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to stay organized in a changing environment.
• Ability to maintain a calm, professional demeanor during periods of uncertainty or crisis.
• Ability to stand throughout the entire shift; reach, bend, stoop, lift, shake, pour, carry, and push; and lift and carry tubs, trays, and cases weighing up to 25 pounds up to 20 times per shift.
• Ability to work with frequent exposure to high temperatures, humidity, and cold.

Responsibilities

• Perform a perimeter sweep at the beginning and end of the shift.
• Observe tables and track which are clean, dirty, or occupied.
• Keep every area clean and maintained throughout the shift.
• Assist servers by refilling beverages, bussing, and resetting tables.
• Assist with running food.
• Inform management immediately when guests are dissatisfied.
• Maintain a professional, composed, and calm demeanor at all times.
• Complete side work as directed.
