Server Assistant/Busser - NESSO
About The Position
As a Busser at NESSO, you help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the restaurant and support a pleasant dining experience for guests. You clear and reset tables, assist servers and kitchen staff, restock service areas, and help keep the restaurant clean. No prior experience is required, and on-the-job training is provided. The role requires physical stamina for standing, walking, and carrying trays or bus tubs weighing up to 30 pounds. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required. Responsibilities
- Clear and reset tables promptly after guests leave; remove used dishes, glassware, and utensils and take them to the dishwashing area.
- Wipe down and sanitize tables, chairs, and condiment containers.
- Assist servers by refilling drinks, delivering food orders, and providing additional items to guests.
- Communicate with servers to ensure tables are ready for new guests.
- Transport dishes from the kitchen to the dining area and ensure food orders reach the correct tables.
- Keep server and busser stations clean and organized, and restock napkins, utensils, and condiments.
- Empty trash receptacles and replace trash bags as needed.
- Interact with guests in a friendly, professional manner, respond to requests, and address inquiries or concerns by escalating them to servers or management when necessary.
- Assist with restaurant cleaning, including sweeping and mopping floors and cleaning windows.
- Report maintenance or repair needs to appropriate personnel.
