About The Position

LMCU is looking for a Server Administrator who will be responsible for managing and optimizing our server infrastructure, ensuring high performance, availability, and security. As part of our dynamic team, you will play a crucial role in implementing server solutions, participating in projects, and providing input into server architecture and technology adoption.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in server administration, with demonstrated expertise in managing complex server environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in administering server solutions using technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, AWS, or Azure.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft server technologies, including Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, security principles, and server performance optimization techniques.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve server issues.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to motivate or influence senior level personnel and obtain cooperation through professional presentations and written communication.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and optimize server infrastructure solutions to meet business needs and scalability requirements.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to execute server-related projects, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to operations.
  • Manage and support server environments including virtualization platforms, cloud services, containerization technologies, and Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Implement server security policies, procedures, and best practices to maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct regular performance monitoring, capacity planning, and optimization of server resources.
  • Maintain backup and recovery management, life cycle management, security compliance, InfoSec support, and software and hardware upgrades.
  • Maintain Active Directory and Entra ID administration, implementing advanced group policies and identity management solutions.
  • Participate in incident response and resolution for server-related issues, including root cause analysis and preventative actions.
  • Document server configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing and training purposes.
