SEO Website Developer
About The Position
Logical Position is hiring an SEO Website Developer to implement SEO consulting work on client websites and contribute to internal projects. The role includes building and editing web pages, optimizing images, writing and modifying code, setting up analytics and webmaster tools, and maintaining website functionality and search-engine accessibility. The developer will collaborate with the SEO team and use Git and GitHub to manage changes to internal projects and repositories. The position requires applying SEO best practices, client instructions, critical thinking, and problem-solving to deliver effective website updates and identify potential issues. The role is located in Houston, Texas, and offers the option to work from home. Salary is $45,000 per year.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent/relevant experience.
- At least 1 year of experience in a related field.
- Experience with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience optimizing websites, working with multiple content management systems, and implementing website updates across multiple platforms.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong knowledge of web technologies and best practices.
- Reliable work ethic, strong organization and time-management skills, and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to present complex ideas clearly and concisely to technical and non-technical audiences.
Responsibilities
- Complete assigned tasks in the SEO team’s software system accurately, following client instructions and SEO best practices.
- Implement SEO consulting work on client websites, including building new pages, editing existing pages, and optimizing images.
- Edit and write code that integrates with existing systems and displays SEO work consistently while allowing search engines to crawl and index content.
- Set up Google Analytics and Webmaster tools to track and report the performance of work implemented on client sites.
- Collaborate on company projects and application repositories using Git and GitHub, keeping changes coordinated and stored in a shared location.
- Edit client servers to help ensure websites function properly and are accessible to search engines.
- Assist with website implementation checks to identify and report potential issues before work begins.
- Use critical thinking and problem-solving to find effective and efficient ways to modify client files and templates.
- Exercise independent judgment when developing and implementing SEO changes and verifying website functionality.
- Collaborate with the SEO team to solve website-related problems and share knowledge.
- Keep current with industry trends, tools, and best practices to improve the company’s product offerings.
