About The Position

Optidge is a remote-first digital marketing agency that supports small and medium businesses with SEO, paid media, and web development services. This is a full-time role for an Independent Contractor or Freelancer offering consistent work at an award-winning agency. The role involves helping clients' websites rank higher in search results and AI overviews to increase natural traffic. It is a client-facing position requiring hands-on SEO strategy that drives results. Responsibilities include preparing data-driven reports using Google Analytics and Google Search Console, and creating AISEO-driven monthly briefs for B2B and B2C clients. High-level data analytics skills, experience with SEO content brief creation, and enjoyment of client engagement are essential. This role is ideal for individuals with client-facing experience, intermediate SEO skills, and a desire to do award-winning work and grow their career with the agency.

Requirements

  • Client-facing experience using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Screaming Frog to gather data for monthly reports and technical audits, create client reports, and develop recommendations from them
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote environment, where communication is primarily through Slack and Email
  • Comfort creating content briefs for writers and web developers to execute on using SEO foundational knowledge and strategy with the support of AI
  • 2-3 years of experience doing technical audits and content audits for local businesses of small to medium size
  • Knowledge of SEO tools like Screaming Frog, Moz, and SEMrush
  • A desire to learn more tools and tech to support doing work faster and better

Responsibilities

  • Owning SEO research and keyword audits in support of client work
  • Conducting competitive and market analysis to identify opportunities for ranking and performance
  • Participating in and leading client meetings and daily meetings with team members across Paid Media, SEO, and Account Management teams to develop strategy and content for clients
  • Identifying areas of opportunity for internal or external growth with the evolving SEO landscape
  • Completing onboarding, understanding client operations, and beginning work on projects
  • Being autonomous in regular SEO tasks and able to execute day-to-day work without supervision
  • Owning a book of business, producing client reports, leading conversations, and delivering presentations directly to clients
  • Acting as a team player who jumps in to help when others call on you or you see the opportunity, and solving problems for others
  • Owning and running tasks like SEO research briefs, technical audits and content audits
  • Developing SEO strategies for clients in partnership with senior team members, identifying opportunities for client accounts and supporting business growth
  • Acting as the client-facing lead for SEO strategy and deliverables
  • Supporting AI agent research for SEO task automation
  • Fully owning SEO tasks for client accounts, and providing support to Leads and Seniors when required
  • Identifying opportunities small or large to grow accounts through automation, new strategies, team tactics, or new processes
  • Exploring growth and development opportunities on the team
