About The Position

DX1, a division of Dominion Enterprises, is hiring an SEO/SEM Marketing Manager to join their Norfolk, Virginia-based team. This role will manage the SEO/SEM team, focusing on search engine marketing (paid search), search engine optimization (organic search), and website analytics. DX1 provides a cloud-based dealership management system for the motorsports industry, building and maintaining customer-facing websites for dealers. The ideal candidate will lead the search marketing team to drive measurable results for hundreds of powersports dealership websites across the US. This position requires a blend of strategic leadership and hands-on execution, managing a small team while overseeing a high-volume client portfolio. Success requires thinking like a boutique digital marketing agency while building scalable processes for consistent results. The candidate should be highly organized, data-driven, process-oriented, and passionate about continuous improvement through automation, AI, and marketing technology.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of SEO and SEM experience with proven results.
  • 2+ years managing or mentoring marketing professionals.
  • Experience managing multiple client accounts in an agency or high-volume SaaS environment.
  • Strong understanding of technical SEO, local SEO, content strategy, and paid search.
  • Advanced knowledge of: Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, Google Ads, SEMrush, PageSpeed Insights, Screaming Frog SEO Spider, Raven Tools (or similar reporting platforms).
  • Experience implementing conversion tracking, event tagging, and attribution.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into business recommendations.
  • Excellent project management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with automotive, powersports, RV, marine, or other dealer-based industries.
  • Experience supporting SaaS products or website platforms.
  • Familiarity with Local SEO for multi-location businesses.
  • Experience with schema markup, XML sitemaps, robots.txt, and JavaScript SEO.
  • Knowledge of AI-assisted marketing workflows and automation tools.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of up to three SEO/SEM specialists.
  • Manage search marketing strategies for a large portfolio of dealership websites while maintaining high-quality service standards.
  • Develop scalable SEO and paid search programs that can be efficiently implemented across hundreds of clients.
  • Prioritize work based on business impact, client needs, and team capacity.
  • Establish processes, documentation, and quality standards that improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Conduct technical SEO audits and identify opportunities to improve site health, crawlability, indexation, Core Web Vitals, and organic performance.
  • Oversee keyword research, on-page optimization, local SEO, content recommendations, link-building strategies, and competitive analysis.
  • Manage Google Ads campaigns, including budgeting, bidding strategies, audience targeting, ad copy testing, and conversion optimization.
  • Monitor campaign performance and communicate results through meaningful reporting and actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Development, Customer Success, and Account Management teams and the Website Builders to implement SEO best practices within our website platform.
  • Stay current on Google algorithm updates, paid search trends, AI search developments, and emerging digital marketing technologies.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to automate repetitive work using technology, templates, AI, and workflow improvements.
