About The Position

We Are Rosie is seeking a self-directed SEO and content contractor to support an agency Content team for three months while it onboards a new SEO Manager. The role supports at least three client accounts across different industries and covers keyword research, optimization of existing pages, and creation of new SEO-driven content. The contractor will document work and gradually transition it to the incoming SEO Manager. The contract may be adjusted based on team needs.

The role is remote and pays $70 per hour as a W2 position. It is expected to require 10 to 20 hours per week, with hours flexing and tapering as work transitions. The contractor must be available between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Central Time for check-ins and collaboration; working arrangements outside those hours are flexible.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in SEO and keyword research, ideally in an agency or multi-client setting.
• Ability to manage several accounts across different industries and switch context effectively.
• Strong SEO writing ability, producing content that reads well and performs.
• Familiarity with answer engine optimization (AEO) best practices.
• Self-directed and reliable, with clear communication and organized documentation habits.
• Ability to join an existing team and adopt established processes quickly.

Responsibilities

• Identify keyword opportunities aligned with each client’s content and service areas.
• Optimize existing web pages for SEO and AEO, including on-page SEO, metadata, internal linking, content gaps, and page structure.
• Write new SEO-driven content aligned with client goals and brand voice.
• Keep work organized and documented to enable a clear handoff to the internal team.
• Partner with the incoming SEO Manager to transition accounts as they ramp up.
