About The Position

Gallagher Bassett is seeking an experienced claims adjuster to handle complex workers compensation claims in Illinois. The role is eligible for fully remote work. The adjuster will analyze claim exposure, plan appropriate courses of action, investigate and evaluate claims, and work toward resolution. The position involves extensive interaction with parties involved in the claim process and partnership with clients to support effective communication, service, and claims management solutions. The adjuster is expected to provide empathetic customer service to claimants, manage claims in accordance with client and corporate policies and procedures, and comply with statutory, regulatory, ethical, and accepted industry standards. Timely, efficient documentation and communication of claim activity are essential.

Requirements

High school diploma.
Minimum of 5 years of related claims experience.
Appropriate licensure and/or certification in all states in which claims are handled.
Knowledge of accepted industry standards and practices.
Computer experience with related claims and business software.

Responsibilities
