The Senior Business Systems Analyst role is situated in a dynamic, energetic, complex, yet rewardingly challenging, high-value, highly-visible, fast-paced environment. The ideal individual will be a Subject Matter Expert in Workday HCM Core, Benefits, Absence, or Compensation, possessing a strong understanding of employee data and analytics that support employee transformation/mapping through integration or M&A efforts. This role is responsible for solutions analysis, design, configuration, and delivery, encompassing business process re-engineering, system fit/gap analysis, or analysis of alternative designs and documentation. The goal is to drive customer enablement, transform manager and employee experiences, and enable transformative operational excellence. Security, reporting, including complex calculated fields, with expertise in building and maintaining HR eco-system integrations using report-based reporting and Web Services/API are considered a plus. Broader experience with EIBs, Studio, and/or BIRT is also a plus. Knowledge of HR and HR processes is essential. Warehouse, Retail, and/or Union workforce experience is a plus. Strong communication skills are key, utilizing tools like PowerPoint, Visio, or other visualization tools to drive dialogue and decision-making. The ability to elicit business requirements and translate them into system requirements is a must. Additionally, this individual should be innovative, an "out of the box" problem solver with a proven track record of partnering to deliver improved end-user experiences. They should be knowledgeable about common HR use cases and typical end-user challenges, resourceful in tracking Workday's roadmap for capability expansion, and detail and action-oriented. A consultative nature with strong follow-up and follow-through skills, acting as a partner, advocate, and liaison, is expected. Managing customer expectations and alignment to ensure operational excellence is crucial. The role requires an excellent communicator with various levels within the organization, as well as with business partners and technical teams. Flexibility to adapt, manage, and adjust to multiple and/or changing priorities, along with strong work management skills, is necessary. Creativity in exploring common assumptions, rethinking existing configurations, and viewing every challenge as an opportunity for system improvements is valued. The individual must be a team player, ready for collaboration, coaching, and idea sharing, and responsible for data integrity and employee confidentiality.
