About The Position

Allison is seeking a Senior Vice President to serve as the US lead for a leading global technology client, a publicly traded B2B enterprise software company. Working as an integral partner to the Managing Director and global client lead, this person will be the day-to-day account lead and a key member of the global leadership team. The role oversees the US program across Product and Partner Communications and Executive Visibility and Corporate Communications, serving as the primary contact for the client's communications leaders and owning the program plan, team, budget, work quality, and relationship growth. The role is dedicated to this client and is part of a senior, embedded team that works in tiger teams alongside the client's communicators. It requires in-person presence in the San Francisco Bay Area and a hybrid work schedule. The Senior Vice President will provide strategic client counsel, lead program operations and major communications efforts, manage program scope and profitability, and build and develop the team.

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a Vice President or equivalent leading a large, multi-market, integrated enterprise technology account at a public relations agency.
  • Deep B2B enterprise technology fluency, including enterprise software and platforms, AI, cybersecurity, cloud, and data.
  • Ability to speak with CISOs, product leaders, and CFOs and understand how category developments can affect company valuation.
  • Track record of leading day-to-day client relationships with senior in-house communications leaders as the single accountable person on accounts with multiple workstreams and agencies.
  • Experience with corporate and earnings-adjacent media relations, executive visibility programs for multiple executives, and rapid response.
  • Strong operating discipline in scopes, budgets, utilization, resource planning, and reporting across a large program.
  • Direct management experience and a record of building and developing teams.
  • Proven track record of driving organic growth and scoping incremental work.
  • Strong commitment to client excellence and client service.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and inspiring a dispersed team.
  • Comfort working in a hybrid environment with regular in-person time in the San Francisco Bay Area and across time zones as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience at or around large enterprise software, cloud, and security companies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the US program day to day, including annual and quarterly PR plans, weekly integrated client meetings, one-to-ones with workstream leads, intake and approvals operations, status tracking, and biweekly budget reporting.
  • Serve as a trusted client advisor, first point of escalation, owner of the rapid response protocol, and partner to communications leadership on priorities, trade-offs, and quarterly planning.
  • Lead and coordinate workstreams so they operate as one team and plan, aligning programs with the company narrative.
  • Provide strategic counsel and an outside-in perspective on category developments and the client's visibility in launches, earnings, and executive communications.
  • Deliver senior counsel for major moments, including the annual customer conference, platform launches, partner announcements, quarterly earnings, and reactive issues.
  • Manage scope of work, profitability, utilization, and resource planning for the US program; recommend budget optimization, scope incremental projects, and identify organic growth opportunities.
  • Build, lead, and develop the team, including hiring with the global lead, coaching workstream leads and delivery team members, and setting standards for embedded, proactive service.
  • Work with the integrated agency team to protect client media relationships through an agreed relationship map and avoid duplication across agencies.
  • Promote and uphold Allison's core values and participate in agency-wide training and professional development programs.
