The firm operates in partnership with Twain Financial Partners, leveraging its robust loan servicing and asset management capabilities. JOB DESCRIPTION The Senior Vice President – Originations is responsible for originating debt investments in commercial real estate with a focus on land and construction lending. Twain’s specialty finance products include predevelopment, bridge, and commercial property assessed clean energy (C-PACE) lending. This position will work closely with the Managing Partner and third-party professionals to successfully develop a strong pipeline of new business and investment opportunities. This full-time position is located in St. Louis, Missouri, and requires approximately 20% travel.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management within real estate finance, lending, or brokerage is required.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, coupled with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary person responsible for implementation of origination and growth strategy of the company.
  • Cultivate and manage strategic relationships with real estate developers, brokers, financial institutions, equity and debt funds, and other key industry stakeholders to drive deal flow.
  • Lead the preparation and negotiation of project-level term sheets and develop detailed cash flow models to evaluate prospective investment opportunities.
  • Support the initial review, underwriting, and execution of transactions, ensuring alignment with Twain’s investment criteria and risk parameters.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal underwriting, project management, and asset management teams to ensure seamless transaction execution and portfolio performance.
