About The Position

Citrix is seeking an exceptional, growth-oriented Senior Vice President (SVP), Global Go-To-Market (GTM) – Citrix Security Business to build market credibility, lead, scale, and drive enterprise awareness and adoption of Citrix’s rapidly growing security portfolio. Reporting directly to the Co-President and Chief Customer Officer of Citrix, this is a market-making role — not a traditional sales leadership position. The SVP will own how Citrix shows up in the security market, why enterprise buyers choose us, and how we generate the executive access and momentum that feeds Citrix’s net revenue retention (NRR) and adoption. Citrix’s security portfolio is differentiated and expanding. Citrix Secure Private Access (SPA) delivers zero trust network access without a VPN, combining adaptive authentication, device posture assessment, and SSO to sanctioned applications across hybrid environments. Citrix Secure Access with Chrome Enterprise Premium extends that protection natively into the browser, enforcing real-time policy, data security, and threat protection inside Google Chrome without new agents or infrastructure. NetScaler AI Gateway brings enterprise governance to AI application delivery — securing LLM traffic, controlling token costs, managing prompts in transit, and protecting sensitive data flowing through AI applications. Together, these solutions give enterprises a unified approach to securing work across applications, browsers, and AI — delivering measurably higher productivity and significant cost avoidance by consolidating fragmented point solutions. Citrix is also uniquely positioned at the frontier of agentic AI security — the next wave of enterprise risk that legacy ZTNA and browser security solutions were simply not built to address. As organizations accelerate genAI adoption, AI agents operating with legitimate user-level privileges are creating critical gaps in data protection — exfiltrating sensitive data, accessing MCP servers, and interacting with enterprise applications in ways that are indistinguishable from human activity. A next generation, AI-centric ZTNA platform powered by Citrix Secure Browser, in combination with SPA and NetScaler AI Gateway, is positioned to close that gap. The SVP will own delivering this story in the market. This leader will translate that story into market presence, executive relationships, and sustained technology adoption. At Citrix, pipeline is measured in adoption — getting our security technology in the hands of enterprise users and proving value. Monetization follows adoption, and this SVP will build the engine that makes that happen. This is a rare opportunity to define a category, build a GTM motion from the ground up, and establish Citrix as a credible and dominant voice in enterprise security. The ideal candidate is a visionary cybersecurity commercial leader with a proven playbook for building high-performing global teams, driving top-down enterprise adoption, and establishing dominant market positions against legacy network security and emerging point-solution competitors.

Requirements

Proven success growing a security business or product line from mid-stage hyper-growth into a multi-hundred-million-dollar global operation.
15+ years of progressive leadership in enterprise technology GTM, business development, or field leadership with deep cybersecurity expertise and a track record of operating at SVP or VP level within a rapidly scaling, enterprise-grade cybersecurity organization.
Demonstrated ability to build market credibility through thought leadership, executive community, and C-suite relationships — not just pipeline management.
Active network of G2000 CIOs, CISOs, and security executives.
Deep understanding of enterprise security architectures: ZTNA, SSE/SASE, enterprise browser, data protection (CASB/SWG/DLP), AI security, and identity-centric access models (IAM, SSO/MFA).
Ability to articulate emerging agentic AI risk to CISO and CIO audiences — including non-human identity threats, AI agent behavior at the browser layer, and the data exfiltration risks that existing ZTNA and browser security controls were not designed to prevent.
Experience developing go-to-market business plans and partner strategy roadmaps for emerging or high-growth technology practices.
Ability to articulate a compelling cost avoidance and technology consolidation story to both technical and financial buyers.
Proven ability to operate in a matrixed organization, influencing across sales, product, alliance, and channel functions.
Exemplary track record of leadership and business development at premier security or network security organization strongly preferred (e.g., Palo Alto Networks, Zscaler, CrowdStrike, Cisco, Island, Netskope).

Responsibilities

Personally drive and coach the team on top-down, high-velocity value generation, directly engaging with CISOs at Global 2000 enterprises.
Engage CFOs directly on Citrix’s cost avoidance narrative, quantifying the financial impact of consolidating legacy security stacks onto the Citrix platform.
Build and maintain an active network of CIOs, CISOs, and CFOs creating sustained access and audiences for the broader Citrix organization.
Own market narrative and competitive positioning for Citrix's unified ZTNA and Enterprise Browser platform, pivoting conversations from legacy infrastructure replacement to strategic, zero-trust business enablement.
Drive executive briefings, security advisory sessions, and peer roundtables that open doors for Citrix’s security portfolio.
Establish Citrix as a credible, trusted voice in the enterprise security market across Zero Trust, secure application access, enterprise browser security, DLP, and AI security.
Define and champion Citrix’s point of view on the evolving security landscape — including at key industry forums and security-focused conferences where enterprise buying decisions are shaped.
Develop a deep understanding of the competitive landscape — including legacy vendors and emerging point-solution competitors — and equip the organization with sharp, defensible positioning.
Champion executive presentations, proof-of-concept engagements, and pilot opportunities that put Citrix security technology in front of the right buyers.
Serve as the top of the engagement funnel, initiating the motion that flows to the ATS team for technical qualification, to product specialists for POC and pilot execution, and back to ATS for ongoing adoption, growth, and expansion across the portfolio.
Track adoption as the primary leading indicator of GTM success. Monetization is the outcome of sustained, high-value adoption.
Surface CISO and buyer feedback to the Security Product GM to inform roadmap priorities and product investment decisions.
Build the business model and go-to-market plan for the Citrix security practice — defining market segments, coverage approach, investment priorities, and success metrics.
Own the partner strategy roadmap and business plan for the security practice - identify which global consultancies, system integrators, value-added resellers, and vendor alliances Citrix should pursue to amplify market reach and accelerate adoption.
Define and modernize the GSI and VAR strategy for the security practice, including how to wrap comprehensive security transformation services around the Citrix platform.
Partner strategy ownership and business planning reside with this role; relationship management is executed through the appropriate alliance and channel organizations.
Operate in close coordination with enterprise sales teams, vertical GTM leaders, and account technology strategists — complementing their efforts without creating channel conflict or account overlap.
Serve as a demand creation engine that feeds vertical sales teams — including FSI, Public Sector, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Retail, Pharma, and enterprise field organizations — with qualified executive relationships, active POCs, and adoption momentum they can convert into commercial outcomes.
Maintain a clearly defined engagement model with ATS leadership to ensure clean handoffs from executive access to technical qualification and onward through the adoption cycle.
Partner closely with the Citrix Marketing organization to ensure consistent security messaging, coordinated campaign execution, and alignment on how the Citrix security story is told externally — from thought leadership content and event presence to demand generation programs that amplify the SVP’s executive engagement motion.
Sponsor analyst relations to achieve leader position in places such as Gartner SSE MQ, Forrester ZTNA Wave, Gartner Enterprise Browser coverage.
Own last-mile delivery of category narrative and competitive messaging vs. SSE/SASE incumbents.
Build and scale global implementation services capabilities, ensuring rapid time-to-value, flawless deployments, and long-term customer success for customers adopting the Citrix security portfolio. The leader should explore multiple means to establish this capability optimally, including partnerships, acquisitions, or team building.
Create repeatable implementation frameworks that reduce friction for large-scale enterprise deployments, directly impacting net revenue retention (NRR) and adoption.
Partner closely with ATS leadership, who own the broader account technology strategy, to ensure services integrate seamlessly into the overall customer engagement model.
Scale High-Performance Teams: Recruit, develop, and retain a world-class, diverse global team spanning enterprise GTM, business development, and implementation services – with deep CISO networks, security domain expertise, and a bias towards building, not managing run rate.
Culture of Accountability: Establish clear performance metrics, operational rigor, and a culture of relentless execution within a high-growth business unit within an enterprise framework.
