About The Position

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer, to join our core Fixed Income team in a Lead position. This role will be focused on designing and building scalable, cloud-based applications that support front office and operations functions, while driving platform modernization and adoption of microservices architecture. This role is located in New York City, NY. In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: Lead development and design of trading and messaging channels integrating with external venues and exchanges using industry-standard protocols. Provide technical oversight for a key Fixed Income e-commerce initiative. Support, operate, and enhance mission-critical front office and operations systems. Design, develop, and enhance core Java components. Partner across teams in a platform operating model, including business stakeholders, trading teams, and technology groups. Analyze and support vendor software solutions. Manage priorities across projects and drive end-to-end delivery and ongoing application maintenance. Provide second-level production support. Leverage AI tools (e.g., Copilot, GitLab, Windsurf) to improve development efficiency. Develop and integrate unit testing within CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
  • 10-14 years of experience in software development required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in Java, SQL, and Git; familiarity with Angular and Python a plus.
  • Experience with trading protocols (FIX, FpML). Understanding of trade lifecycle events and regulatory considerations.
  • Proficiency in data standards and data modeling.
  • Experience working with XML and JSON.
  • Strong experience with messaging frameworks (MQ, Kafka).
  • Hands-on experience with Spring (Core, Boot, Integration).
  • Familiarity with testing practices, DevOps, and cloud/containerization.
  • Experience with fixed income products (Treasuries, Corporate Bonds, etc.)
  • Experience with OMS, smart order routing, and market data platforms.
  • Proven ability to design, build, profile, debug, and support production systems in Linux/Windows environments.
  • Can work independently designing, developing, and implementing new systems and features.
  • Strong communication and prioritization skills. Ability to troubleshoot under pressure.
