About The Position

Fern is seeking a Senior Vice President, Experiential & Business Operations to build scalable infrastructure for growth in its Experiential business and drive enterprise-wide process improvements, strategic vendor partnerships, and operational integration initiatives. The role oversees repeatable fulfillment and delivery models, cross-functional operational excellence, strategic projects, and business integration. The position reports directly to the President of Fern and may be performed remotely, with the ability to travel.

Responsibilities

Develop a repeatable fulfillment model for Experiential projects, including projects originating through INVNT and other agency partners.
Build and manage a network of specialized freelance, account/project management, fabrication, and graphic management resources.
Establish clear roles and responsibilities across Sales, Account Management, Creative, Detailing, Exhibitor Services, Production, Graphics, and Operations.
Reduce reliance on senior leadership to intervene in the execution of complex projects.
Partner with National, Regional, and Depot Operations to ensure successful delivery.
Standardize team structure, workback schedules, and workflows across departments from project hand-off through execution and closeout.
Improve project planning, budgeting, change order management, vendor coordination, and communication.
Identify workflow inefficiencies and gaps that affect client experience, margins, and scalability.
Lead the VP Process & Integration in implementing updated SOPs, training, compliance, and continuous improvement.
Formalize a preferred vendor network with national agreements for graphics, AV, flooring, furniture, and other specialized services.
Lead operational integration planning and execution for acquisitions related to Fern.
Evaluate and execute geographic expansion opportunities.
Lead special projects that improve operational efficiency, expand capabilities, and support profitable growth.
Develop scalable operating models for new markets and service offerings.
