About The Position

ZF Active Safety US Inc. has a job opening for the position of Sr. Vice President, Corporate Program Management based out of its location in Auburn Hills, MI. This role is responsible for implementing strong and sustainable governance for project management structures and processes across divisions and product lines. The position optimizes global PM standards (GDPEP) through integrated and aligned cross-functional collaboration across Engineering, Launch & Operations, Supply Management, Quality, Sales, and Controlling. It provides frameworks and guidance for operational program management, establishes KPIs to evaluate commercial and technical success, and delivers regular updates to the Board of Management. The role drives risk management through early detection and accountability, enhances efficiency in managing critical programs, and leads the program management executive group to foster excellence. It also promotes continuous improvement by applying best practices and lessons learned across all programs. A hybrid (in-office and telecommute) work schedule is available. Up to 30% travel to domestic and international locations to attend meetings at company and client sites is required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering, or closely related field, plus 5 years of experience in a senior management or director level role within a Tier 1 automotive environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing start of production programs and customer escalations on full vehicle & component level with fit, form, function, quality, content, cost, and timing technical expertise.
  • Demonstrated experience with OEM processes to prepare solutions on eye-level with the OEM, including implications on test fleet built-up to avoid/reduce task force costs.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and driving key KPIs for Product Launch Readiness and Product Lifecycle Management in a matrix organization to achieve project management excellence.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing project management operations and implementing organization-wide portfolio governance systems.
  • Demonstrated experience establishing cross-functional governance frameworks to support best practice sharing and strategic alignment.
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating and reporting to senior executives or board level members.
  • Experience with Quality systems including ISO/TS 16949, IATF 16949, FMEA, and root cause analysis.
  • Experience with Controlling and finance basics including CAPEX/OPEX tracking, ROI, and business case evaluation.
  • Experience with PMP for global project management standards.
  • In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, the employer will accept a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a closely related field, plus 3 years of experience in a senior management or director level role within a Tier 1 automotive environment.
