Comlux America is a world-class VIP aircraft completion and refurbishment center located in Indianapolis, Indiana. The company designs, engineers, and installs custom luxury interiors and advanced aircraft systems for airliner-derivative business jets. Comlux also offers scheduled and unscheduled maintenance services. The Vice President of Program Management provides executive leadership and strategic oversight for the Comlux Completion Program Management Office (PMO). This role is responsible for the successful execution of all aircraft completion programs from contract award through aircraft delivery, ensuring alignment with customer expectations, regulatory compliance, financial targets, and operational performance. The Vice President acts as the senior executive responsible for program governance, customer engagement, and cross-functional coordination across engineering, production, supply chain, quality, finance, and executive leadership. This role ensures that all VIP aircraft completion programs are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with Comlux quality standards and regulatory requirements. As a key member of the leadership team, the Vice President establishes program management strategy, develops standardized processes and performance metrics, and leads a team of program managers responsible for managing individual aircraft completion projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, aviation management, or related discipline required.
  • Minimum 10–15 years of experience in aircraft completions, aircraft modification, or aviation program management.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of leadership experience managing large-scale aviation programs or technical project portfolios.
  • Experience working within Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) programs for transport category aircraft.
  • Demonstrated success leading multi-disciplinary teams within a complex aviation manufacturing or completion environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of VIP aircraft completion processes and aircraft modification programs.
  • Strong understanding of FAA regulatory requirements including 14 CFR Part 91, Part 145, and related STC regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale aviation programs involving engineering, production, and customer stakeholders.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing program budgets, cost performance, and profitability.
  • Exceptional executive communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with senior leadership and high-profile customers.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
  • Ability to manage complex program portfolios in a high-demand, service-oriented aviation environment.
  • Proficiency with program management tools, scheduling systems, and business reporting systems.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally when required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the Program Management Office (PMO) responsible for all aircraft completion programs.
  • Establish program management governance, policies, and standardized execution frameworks across all aircraft completion programs.
  • Provide executive oversight for program performance including schedules, cost control, technical execution, and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and manage the program portfolio strategy to ensure optimal resource allocation across multiple aircraft completion projects.
  • Serve as the executive customer interface for high-profile aircraft completion programs and strategic clients.
  • Ensure customer expectations related to schedule, quality, and aircraft configuration requirements are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Support contract negotiations, program kickoff activities, and executive-level customer communications throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Partner with leadership across Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, and Sales to ensure program objectives are aligned with operational capabilities.
  • Lead cross-functional coordination to resolve program risks, technical issues, and schedule conflicts impacting aircraft completion timelines.
  • Ensure production and engineering organizations maintain clear visibility of program priorities and resource requirements.
  • Establish financial performance targets and monitor program budgets, cost performance, and margin performance.
  • Oversee development and management of master program schedules for all aircraft completion programs.
  • Ensure programs are executed in alignment with corporate financial objectives and operational capacity.
  • Develop and maintain program management processes, reporting frameworks, and performance dashboards.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance program execution, reporting accuracy, and resource planning.
  • Ensure program management practices align with regulatory requirements including FAA and Repair Station Quality Manual (RSQM) standards.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of Program Managers and program support personnel.
  • Establish performance expectations, career development plans, and leadership development initiatives within the PMO organization.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence across program management functions.
  • Provide regular program portfolio updates to executive leadership including schedule status, financial performance, program risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare executive-level reports summarizing program performance, operational challenges, and strategic opportunities.
  • Represent the program management organization in strategic planning, corporate initiatives, and executive decision-making.
  • Perform other leadership duties as assigned by executive management.
