About The Position

UrgentVet provides after-hours urgent care for canine and feline patients, bridging daytime general practice and emergency or overnight care. Its paperless clinics treat common urgent cases and are equipped with cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and IDEXX in-house laboratory equipment. The Senior Veterinary Assistant helps provide patient care, team leadership, and client service in a fast-paced urgent care clinic. The position requires regular on-site attendance to support patient care, respond to time-sensitive needs, collaborate with clinical teams, and help maintain the safety and well-being of patients, clients, and staff. Requirements

Demonstrate professionalism, dependability, positive communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a hands-on environment.
Have a strong work ethic, energy, social skills, and organizational skills.
Be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Have prior customer service experience.
Have prior experience working with animals in a hospital setting.
Be able to lift 40 pounds.
Have animal handling experience, including patient restraint, sample collection, and monitoring.
Have clinical skills including phlebotomy, catheter placement, laboratory analysis, and drug calculation.
Be regularly present on-site as an essential function of the role.
