About The Position

As a Senior UX Designer on Tanium’s Design System team, you will design and implement foundational styles, patterns, and UI elements for Tanium solutions across its platform. The work includes developing new ways of engaging with solutions as Tanium brings AI strategies into its products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create intuitive, visually appealing, and functional interfaces that meet customer needs. The role follows a hybrid schedule, requiring employees to work in the office at least three days per week at one of these locations: Addison, Texas; Bellevue, Washington; Durham, North Carolina; Emeryville, California; or Reston, Virginia.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
At least 5 years of UI/UX design experience, specifically in a Design System capacity.
Understanding of systems design, tokens, and atomic design principles.
Experience designing technical, B2B solutions.
Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
Strong UI skills and understanding of design systems in Figma.
Experience with user research methods, prototyping tools, and usability testing.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
Experience with data visualization and/or dashboard design.
Experience designing for AI and Agentic AI technologies.

Responsibilities

Design repeatable, scalable patterns and components for use by design and engineering teams.
Design and prototype enterprise software user interfaces, ensuring navigation, usability, and accessibility.
Conduct user research, analyze feedback, and iterate on designs to improve user experience and satisfaction.
Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and UX/UI designers to understand requirements, refine features, and deliver solutions.
Develop interactive prototypes to validate design concepts and usability, and conduct usability testing to gather insights for improvement.
Document design decisions and best practices to support team collaboration and knowledge sharing.
