Senior User Experience Design Specialist
About The Position
SAP America, Inc. is hiring a Senior User Experience Design Specialist in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, under a hybrid work model. The role designs user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and actionable features based on business requirements and user needs. The specialist analyzes and evaluates applications, systems, and user interactions across web, multimedia, voice response, and conversational platforms. They develop and communicate design strategies; provide usability evaluation and support to product development teams; and improve the usefulness, usability, and accessibility of products. The role translates business requirements and user needs into user-centered design decisions and collaborates with Product Management and Application Engineering to implement and refine designs. Usability and accessibility standards must be maintained throughout the design lifecycle. The position requires a relevant bachelor’s degree and six years of related experience, or a relevant master’s degree and four years of related experience. In either case, four years of experience in each of the listed skills and methods is required. Travel is not required. The annual base salary range is $145,104–$216,128; the targeted combined compensation range, including variable incentive target, is $159,500–$245,600. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Interactive Arts and Technology, or a related field, and six years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation; alternatively, a master’s degree or foreign equivalent in one of those fields and four years of related experience.
- Four years of experience with user research techniques, including user interviews, surveys, usability testing, and A/B testing.
- Four years of experience with UI/UX wireframing and prototyping, including low- and high-fidelity wireframes and clickable prototypes.
- Four years of experience with task flow modeling, including linear task flows and user journey maps.
- Four years of experience with storyboarding, including scenario-based and persona-driven storyboards.
- Four years of experience with interaction design principles, including consistency, feedback, affordance, visibility, mapping, learnability, and flexibility.
- Four years of experience with information architecture, including card sorting, sitemaps, and hierarchy mapping.
- Four years of experience with inclusive design, including keyboard mapping, color contrast, alt text, responsive layouts, and user diversity mapping.
- Four years of experience with Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, or Illustrator.
- Four years of experience with design thinking, including empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and iterate.
Responsibilities
