About The Position

SAP America, Inc. seeks a Senior User Experience Design Specialist at our Newtown Square, PA location to design user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and actionable features based on business requirements and user needs. The role involves analyzing and evaluating applications, systems, and user interactions across various platforms, including web, multimedia, voice response, and conversational interfaces. The specialist will develop and communicate design strategies, provide product usability, evaluation, and support to product development teams, and enhance user experiences by improving the usefulness, usability, and accessibility of products. This position translates business requirements and user needs into impactful design decisions, creating user-centered solutions that drive engagement and satisfaction, and collaborates with cross-functional teams, such as Product Management and Application Engineering, to implement and refine designs, ensuring usability and accessibility standards are met throughout the design lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Interactive Arts and Technology, or a related field of study and six (6) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Technology, Interactive Arts and Technology, or a related field of study and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • User Research Techniques including User Interviews, Surveys, Usability Testing, and A/B Testing
  • UI/UX Wireframing & Prototyping including Low/High Fidelity Wireframes and Clickable Prototypes
  • Task Flow Modeling including Linear Task Flows and User Journey maps
  • Storyboarding including Scenario-based and persona-driven storyboards
  • Interaction Design Principles including Consistency, Feedback, Affordance, Visibility, Mapping, Learnability, and Flexibility
  • Information Architecture including Card sorting, sitemaps, and Hierarchy Mapping
  • Inclusive Design including Keyboard mapping, Color Contrast, Alt text, responsive layouts, and user diversity mapping
  • Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, or Illustrator
  • Design Thinking including Empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and iterate.

Responsibilities

  • Design user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and actionable features based on business requirements and user needs.
  • Analyze and evaluate applications, systems, and user interactions across various platforms, including web, multimedia, voice response, and conversational interfaces.
  • Develop and communicate design strategies effectively.
  • Provide product usability, evaluation, and support to product development teams, including the analysis and investigation of applications/systems, graphics, web, multimedia, voice response, and conversational user interaction.
  • Enhance user experiences by improving the usefulness, usability, and accessibility of products.
  • Translate business requirements and user needs into impactful design decisions, creating user-centered solutions that drive engagement and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Product Management and Application Engineering, to implement and refine designs.
  • Ensure usability and accessibility standards are met throughout the design lifecycle.
