We’re looking for a Senior US Tax Manager to join our growing tax practice. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to clients with U.S. tax obligations and cross-border activities. You will work closely with colleagues across service lines to develop strategic tax solutions and deliver exceptional client service.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with a major in Accounting
  • Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or equivalent law degree
  • Canadian CPA and U.S. CPA designations
  • Experience providing tax consulting services within a public accounting or law firm environment
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. individual and corporate taxation
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work within established budgets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and French
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency with search engines, AI tools, and U.S. tax preparation software

Responsibilities

  • Explaining complex U.S. tax concepts to both external and internal clients
  • Collaborating with other tax professionals to develop strategies that minimize global tax burdens for businesses and individuals with U.S. connections
  • Creating practical, business-focused solutions to client tax challenges
  • Conducting research on U.S. tax matters affecting clients
  • Implementing tax strategies through analyses, memoranda, and tax filings
  • Providing litigation support, including representation before the IRS and state tax authorities
  • Delivering high-quality, timely, and responsive client service
  • Communicating changes in U.S. tax laws and applying new tax knowledge to ongoing projects
  • Assisting with the preparation of U.S. federal and state tax returns for businesses and individuals
  • Contributing to the development and execution of the firm’s strategic objectives
