About The Position

The Senior Travel Risk Program Manager leads the execution and continuous improvement of the Travel Risk Management program, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and duty-of-care obligations. This role safeguards the health, safety, and security of personnel traveling globally or operating off-campus by partnering with internal stakeholders and external providers to support preparedness, incident response, and the management of travel-related and global risks. This position may be eligible for remote work. However, St. Jude requires all remote employees to: Travel to our Memphis campus for the interview process and/or orientation, if selected. Travel to Memphis to work on-site for one week per quarter, or as requested based on business needs, if hired.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field required.
  • 4 + years of experience in travel risk management, global security, emergency management, risk intelligence analysis, international operations, or related field.
  • Prior experience in managing multiple elements of a compliance program (e.g., governance, auditing and monitoring, training, risk assessment, investigation of compliance concerns and action recommendation).
  • Proven performance in earlier role.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience monitoring global events and assessing risk impacts to travelers or operations.
  • Knowledge of incident response, crisis management, or duty-of-care frameworks.
  • Experience managing programs or projects in a global and/or cross-functional environment.
  • Experience supporting global operations or international program expansion initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Travel Risk Management program.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for travel risk–related questions, issues, and incident coordination.
  • Monitor global events and emerging risks (e.g., security, safety, health, and transportation/infrastructure disruptions) that may impact organizational personnel or operations.
  • Conduct risk assessments, analyze trends, and develop actionable mitigation recommendations.
  • Support governance and compliance activities, including reporting, audits, and corrective actions.
  • Develop and deliver training and awareness programs related to travel health, safety, and security.
  • Prepare and present risk insights, program updates, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Ensure relevant policies, standards, and procedures are clearly understood and consistently applied by personnel traveling on behalf of the organization and supporting global operations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental and institutional objectives.
  • May require occasional after-hours support in response to global incidents.
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
