The Senior Transmission Line Engineer 2 applies and expands knowledge of transmission line engineering, including conductors, hardware, insulation, structures, foundations, and electrical principles. The role designs transmission lines in the 69 kV to 500 kV range and is responsible for cost analyses, design criteria, and transmission line routing and siting. It also involves conductor selection, shielding, grounding, and induction studies; specifying transmission line components with vendors and clients; and directing a small project team. The engineer works with experienced engineers, mentors less experienced staff, and interacts with a diverse client base and other project teams. The role may include occasional travel for site visits and client meetings, as well as developing proposals and cost estimates for new work. The position has a hybrid arrangement: three days per week in the office and two days working remotely.
