About The Position

The Senior Transmission Line Engineer 2 applies and expands transmission line engineering knowledge across conductors, hardware, insulation, structures, foundations, and electrical principles. The role designs transmission lines in the 69 kV to 500 kV range and is responsible for cost analyses, design criteria, routing and siting, and conductor selection, shielding, grounding, and induction studies. The engineer works with vendors and clients to specify transmission line components and directs a small project team. The position includes collaboration with experienced engineers, mentoring less experienced staff, and interacting with clients and other project teams. It may involve occasional travel for site visits and client meetings, as well as developing proposals and cost estimates for new work. The work arrangement is hybrid: three days per week in the office and two days working remotely.
