About The Position

This role supports families navigating the dual challenges of senior transitions: finding a new home and managing their current property and belongings. The Senior Transition Specialist will conduct in-home consultations for Caring Transitions clients to assess downsizing, clearing, or estate needs. Additionally, they will accompany Assisted Living Locators families on tours of senior living communities in the Greater Rochester area. This dual function provides a comprehensive understanding of the senior transition landscape from both perspectives, fostering deeper value to the families served.

Requirements

• Experience in senior care, healthcare, social services, hospitality, or consultative sales.
• Ability to come alive in one-on-one conversations with families during high-stakes moments.
• Skill in consultative sales conversations and empathetic, informative tour experiences.
• Organized, reliable, and disciplined about process and handoffs.
• Comfortable being on the road most of the day.
• Reliable personal transportation required.
• Smartphone required.
• Must pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-home consultations for Caring Transitions clients, assessing downsizing, clearing, or estate needs.
• Accompany Assisted Living Locators families on in-person tours of senior living communities.
• Review intake notes and prepare for in-home visits.
• Sit with clients and families to understand their situation, walk the home, take measurements, and assess scope and auction potential.
• Present Caring Transitions services clearly and confidently, tailored to client needs.
• Set next-step expectations and ensure a clean handoff to the Operations team after contract signing.
• Review client case notes before each tour, including care needs, budget, and preferences.
• Conduct tours of assisted living, memory care, and independent living communities.
• Advocate for the client during the touring process and maintain professional relationships with community staff.
• Deliver structured post-tour summaries and recommendations to the placement advisor.

Benefits

• Hourly rate of $22 to $23/hr for all hours worked.
• A flat per-closed-job bonus for each Caring Transitions consultation that converts to a signed contract.
• On-target earnings of approximately $45,000 to $55,000 per year.
• Mileage reimbursement for field travel.
• Flexible scheduling primarily within Monday through Friday business hours.
