About The Position

Power Factors is seeking a Senior Trainer to join their Learning Services team. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality training programs to global customers on renewable energy software platforms, focusing on asset performance management and SCADA platforms. The Senior Trainer will be a key member of the customer enablement function, ensuring customers can successfully adopt and use Power Factors' products. Training will be delivered through various formats including virtual classrooms, on-site sessions, webinars, and self-paced digital learning. This is a customer-facing technical role requiring strong communication skills, a solid understanding of renewable energy operations, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into engaging learning experiences.

Requirements

• 5+ years in a technical, customer-facing role, including at least 2 to 3 years delivering training, onboarding, or customer enablement.
• Working knowledge of renewable energy operations and operational software, with demonstrated depth in asset performance management or SCADA/EMS.
• Fluent (written and spoken) in English.
• Experience working directly with operators, engineers, analysts, or technical users.
• Proven ability to facilitate independently and explain technical concepts clearly to audiences with varying levels of expertise.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent training engagements and flag delivery risks early.
• Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 10%).

Nice To Haves

• Additional languages are a plus.
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and eLearning authoring tools.
• Instructional design, adult learning, or training certifications.
• Experience using AI-powered tools for content creation and knowledge sharing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instructor-led training on asset performance management (APM) and monitoring and control (SCADA/EMS) platforms to new and existing customers via live virtual and on-site sessions, webinars, and train-the-trainer programs.
• Build a deep understanding of customer use cases and operational workflows to design training adapted to learner personas and customer asset mixes (PV, wind, BESS).
• Coordinate onboarding-phase sessions with Technical Project Managers, aligning platform orientation with acceptance testing scope.
• Manage scheduling and logistics for customer cohorts across different time zones and regions.
• Develop and maintain customer-facing learning materials on Unity University (user guides, eLearning modules, video walkthroughs) and internal enablement content.
• Partner with Product, Professional Services, Customer Success, and Support teams to ensure training reflects current functionality and best practices.
• Gather learner feedback, track completion and satisfaction outcomes, and drive continuous improvements to training offering, quality, and effectiveness.
• Apply AI-assisted workflows to content drafting, editing, and localization, validating all outputs for product accuracy.
• Stay current on industry trends and software innovations in renewable energy, asset management, and SCADA.
