About The Position

Software Mind is hiring a Senior Test Automation Engineer for a project with a global provider of medical and travel security risk services. The project is rewriting traveller-facing Subscriber Portal apps from React Native to native iOS and Android. The apps help travellers and expatriates receive location-based medical and security alerts, access country risk information, check in, and contact 24/7 assistance centres. The backend is already in place.

The role owns test automation and quality across the native mobile apps and web portal, ensuring the new native apps match or improve on the existing experience. Responsibilities span test strategy, automation, release validation, production issue investigation, and quality practices across platforms.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in test automation across native iOS and Android applications and web portals.
• Proven ability to design and maintain automation frameworks, own test suites, and ensure release quality.
• Experience with functional, regression, API, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience testing responsive interfaces, cross-browser compatibility, accessibility, and localisation.
• Experience validating location services, push notifications, authentication, and session management.
• Hands-on experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience supporting production applications, investigating defects, and performing root cause analysis.
• Ability to work closely with developers and architects to improve quality and testability.
• Experience with Scrum, Jira, and Confluence.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to continuous learning.
• Experience validating backend data corrections and migrations using queries or scripts.
• English proficiency at C1 level; English is the working language with the client.

Responsibilities

• Own test strategy, automation, and release validation for native iOS and Android apps and the web portal.
• Develop and maintain functional, regression, and end-to-end automated tests.
• Validate authentication, session management, and secure data handling.
• Test location features and push notifications on real devices.
• Integrate automated tests and quality gates into CI/CD pipelines.
• Investigate production issues, validate hotfixes, and expand regression coverage.
• Collaborate on requirements, test planning, and estimation.
• Verify compatibility, accessibility, and multilingual support across platforms.
• Validate application data following backend changes and migrations.
• Track defects, coverage, and quality metrics, and maintain test documentation.
