Sr. Automation Test Engineer
About The Position
The Senior Test Automation Engineer develops and maintains automated test scripts and reusable test frameworks, and performs manual and automated testing across enterprise applications. The role integrates automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, validates backend data using SQL, and supports defect tracking, reporting, regression testing, and team knowledge transfer. The position is based in Rancho Cordova, California, and uses a hybrid work mode. Onsite attendance is required for initial project meetings, critical milestones, or as needed. The engagement is listed as two years with an optional one-year extension, with six openings.
Requirements
- At least seven years of experience in electronic data processing systems study, design, and programming, including at least four years in a lead capacity.
- A bachelor's degree in an IT-related or Engineering field; additional qualifying experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
- At least seven years of experience in software testing and quality engineering, including test strategy, planning, management, execution, and automation for enterprise applications in Agile/Scrum environments.
- At least five years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining test automation frameworks using Selenium, Playwright, Cucumber, Gherkin, and TestNG.
- Experience implementing test reporting and quality metrics using Allure and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub, Docker, or similar technologies.
- At least five years of experience developing and maintaining automation solutions using Java, JavaScript, and/or TypeScript, including troubleshooting failures, debugging scripts, and improving automation reliability and performance.
- At least seven years of experience using SQL for backend validation, data reconciliation, test data creation and management, and supporting data privacy, masking, compliance, and quality assurance requirements.
