About The Position

The Senior Technician performs repairs and preventative maintenance on trucks, trailers, service trucks, and applicable fleet vehicles and equipment. The role diagnoses and troubleshoots mechanical problems, ensures fleet vehicles meet DOT requirements, maintains repair and maintenance records, manages parts and supply inventories, and follows Company, DOT, and OSHA safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs minor and major repairs on trucks and trailers.
• Conducts preventative maintenance on service trucks, including inspections, tire rotations, and oil changes.
• Collaborates with the repair team to diagnose vehicle problems and plan repairs.
• Maintains accurate records of repairs performed on vehicles.
• Repairs, modifies, and performs preventative maintenance on applicable fleet vehicles.
• Completes required preventative maintenance for equipment used in operations.
• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical malfunctions.
• Inspects fleet vehicles for DOT compliance, including brake maintenance.
• Completes required daily reporting.
• Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock levels.
• Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Follows safe work practices and complies with Company, DOT, and OSHA regulations.
