About The Position

RTX BBN Technologies seeks a Technical Quality Analyst for its Physical Sciences & Systems business unit. The role performs quality assurance for hardware, software, and documentation in production environments. The analyst interprets contractual and business quality management requirements, implements and sustains internal processes, conducts quality reviews, and supports project team compliance with quality standards. The position works independently and collaboratively with development, production, and sustainment teams to prioritize and execute work aligned with project objectives and governing requirements. The role manages parallel responsibilities, including maintaining internal status and quality tracking systems, reviewing technical documents, overseeing key production activities, generating reports, and conducting internal audits. It also supports secure data transfers, customer communications, corrective actions, Government source inspections, and Government property control. The position is based in Middletown, Rhode Island, and is described as hybrid, generally requiring four days onsite per week.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), or Business Administration/Management and 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and 3 years of experience.
Experience reviewing and editing technical documents.
Prior quality assurance experience.
Ability to organize and methodically execute multistep tasks.
U.S. citizenship; the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance is required.
Active and existing DoD Secret security clearance required after day 1.

Experience in hardware and software production activities.
Strong understanding of ISO 9001 guidelines for Quality Management Systems.
Technical background.
Experience using Atlassian products, including Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
Experience using Product Data or Product Lifecycle Management software (PDM, PLM).
Experience with Linux operating systems.
An active security clearance.

Responsibilities

Analyze company policies, procedures, and contractual requirements to implement compliant quality management for documents, software, and hardware.
Assess project-level mission assurance workflows and propose and implement improvements that streamline processes while improving product quality and consistency.
Perform random and scheduled internal audits to verify and enforce team compliance with quality requirements.
Support secure data transfer activities and customer communications.
Generate and track metrics related to program status and QA data.
Monitor and maintain product quality tracking systems.
Develop training briefs tailored to each project team functional area’s QA needs and conduct periodic training sessions.
Support management and resolution of corrective action reports (CARs).
Maintain the project quality control plan and propose revisions and improvements.
Assist in preparation for and internal conduct of Government source inspection events.
Support the handling and control of Government property.
Collaborate daily with BBN team members and customers.
Review and edit technical documents.
Perform quality oversight of key production activities and generate reports.
