About The Position

Orchid Software Solutions is hiring a Senior Technical Project Manager to run delivery and own the product backlog for its IDRE pod. IDRE connects VeraTru to the Independent Dispute Resolution process under the federal No Surprises Act, handling hundreds of new disputes daily and more than 100,000 disputes in the system. The role reports directly to the CTO and combines project management and product ownership. It bridges engineering, business and operations, and the client, translating complex regulatory and client requirements into clear, sequenced work. The position owns sprint planning, multi-sprint roadmaps, and backlog refinement so work is ready before each sprint. It is a hands-on role in a fast-moving, regulated domain where accuracy and turnaround time affect client experience.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years as a Project Manager, Technical Project Manager, or Product Owner on software teams, including hands-on backlog ownership; years are to be confirmed.
  • Based in the United States, authorized to work in the US, and able to pass a background check.
  • Experience running Agile/Scrum delivery for a distributed engineering team across US and Latin American time zones.
  • Strong requirements skills, including turning messy business inputs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Client-facing experience owning status reporting, demos, and expectation management with an external client.
  • Fluency with Jira and Confluence, including organizing and cleaning up a complex backlog.
  • Clear, concise written and spoken English and comfort pushing back with facts.
  • Must reside in the United States and be authorized to work in the US without current or future visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare payments, insurance claims, No Surprises Act/IDR, or another regulated domain such as fintech, legal, or government.
  • Experience with government- or CMS-facing systems and compliance requirements.
  • Technical background in engineering or computer science to discuss trade-offs credibly with senior engineers.
  • Comfort with data, such as SQL or reporting basics, to answer delivery and client questions.
  • Scrum or project management certification such as PSM, CSM, CSPO, or PMP.

Responsibilities

  • Own delivery for the IDRE pod by planning and running sprints, tracking scope, timelines, and risks, and keeping releases predictable.
  • Translate complex regulatory, operational, and client requirements into well-scoped tickets with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Own backlog prioritization and refinement, ensuring work is ready for engineers before each sprint.
  • Build and maintain a multi-sprint roadmap with the Tech Lead and business stakeholders, making trade-offs visible.
  • Manage the client relationship with Capital Bridge, including status updates, demos, feedback gathering, and expectation management.
  • Triage incoming issues and requests before they reach engineers, escalating urgent matters as appropriate.
  • Partner with the Tech Lead on sequencing and feasibility; the Tech Lead owns technical scope while this role owns the plan and flow of work.
  • Facilitate team ceremonies in a way that supports team participation and lets engineers pull their own work.
  • Maintain decision logs, requirements, and process documentation in Jira and Confluence.
