About The Position

Muon seeks a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead end-to-end planning for the development, manufacturing, and testing of propulsion systems. The role may be performed remotely from an approved location and involves coordinating propulsion programs with product, engineering, manufacturing, and customer teams. The role owns the propulsion program roadmap across development, testing, procurement, and assembly, translating it into an active production flow and determining when hardware is ready to advance. It links propulsion programs with product strategy, supports thruster production and supply-chain coordination, and keeps engineering leads, managers, executives, and customers informed. The position also translates mission requirements into test priorities, coordinates propulsion integration with other hardware teams, and monitors industry and market developments to inform program decisions. The position requires access to export-controlled information. Applicants must meet applicable U.S. Government export-control eligibility requirements. Muon is registered and able to hire in the states listed in the posting.

  • Maintain communication across engineering leads, managers, and executives to reduce surprises and miscommunication.
  • Serve as the point person for thruster customers, understand their concerns, provide transparent updates, use discretion when needed, and involve propulsion engineering as appropriate.
  • Translate mission specifications into testing targets and develop realistic test-stand validation plans.
