About The Position

Agility Robotics is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager, Systems Integration, to join its SEIT Technical Program team. The role owns planning and execution for systems integration and supports the establishment of a new Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test capability. The program manager partners with Mechanical, Electrical, Firmware, and Software engineering teams to guide the robot from subsystem integration through full-system integration. The position requires both program-level planning and direct participation in technical discussions, design reviews, and interface-specification work, as well as accurately representing engineering work to cross-functional partners and leadership. This is a hybrid position based at Agility Robotics’ Fremont, California facility. The employee is expected to work onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with flexibility to work remotely Monday and Friday, and may occasionally travel to the RobotFab facility in Salem, Oregon. The role works closely with the Senior Manager of Systems Integration and the HIL architect.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience in technical program management, systems integration, or hardware/robotics engineering, including at least 3 years leading cross-functional technical programs.
  • Experience building and managing integration plans, including schedules, milestones, dependencies, and risk mitigation, for complex electromechanical systems.
  • Strong technical understanding of systems engineering, system bring-up, integration testing, and interfaces between hardware, firmware, and software.
  • Track record of conducting technical discussions directly with engineers and accurately representing their work to cross-functional partners and leadership.
  • Proficiency with Jira and Confluence, and comfort building dashboards or reports that make program health clear.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with humanoid robotics, autonomous systems, aerospace, automotive manufacturing, or other complex electromechanical platforms.
  • Familiarity with hardware, firmware, and software release processes and configuration management.
  • Direct experience designing, standing up, or scaling HIL test systems, automated test frameworks, or simulation-based validation environments.
  • Background in reliability tracking, issue management, and root cause analysis.
  • PMP/PgMP certification or equivalent practical rigor.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Senior Manager of Systems Integration and engineering leads to translate program goals into sequenced integration plans with clear owners, dependencies, and dates.
  • Maintain the integration Jira project and dashboards, including asset status, build milestones, bugs, and program cadence.
  • Lead planning sessions, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, keeping sprint goals aligned with broader program milestones.
  • Identify dependencies on partner teams early enough to address them through planning.
  • Own the roadmap and timeline for the HIL test capability, partnering with the HIL architect and cross-functional team to advance automated test development and test coverage across subsystems and full systems.
  • Provide program-level visibility into test coverage, automation status, and failure trends, and use test data to inform decisions about what ships.
  • Coordinate benches, rigs, and simulation environments needed for HIL testing and remove blockers to testing.
  • Develop a working understanding of the robot’s architecture and interfaces to identify integration gaps before they become schedule risks.
  • Facilitate technical discussions across hardware, firmware, and software teams to resolve interface questions, surface risks, and accurately represent engineering work in cross-functional and leadership reviews.
  • Track issues, risks, and dependencies across teams through resolution, escalating significant items with clear recommendations.
  • Maintain dashboards, status reports, and documentation that make integration status understandable to engineers and program leadership.
