About The Position

Agility Robotics is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to join its SEIT Technical Program team. This role owns planning and execution for systems integration while supporting the launch of a new Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test capability. The position partners closely with Mechanical, Electrical, Firmware, and Software engineering teams to keep the robot's progression from subsystem integration to full system integration on track. The role combines program planning and execution with hands-on technical collaboration. The successful candidate will translate program goals into integration plans, maintain program tracking and reporting, lead team cadences, surface dependencies and risks, and facilitate technical discussions across engineering disciplines. They will also own the roadmap and timeline for HIL test capability, support automated test development and coverage, and coordinate the resources needed for testing. This is a hybrid position based in Fremont, California. Employees work in the office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with flexibility to work remotely Monday and Friday. Occasional travel to the RobotFab facility in Salem, Oregon is required. Applicants must have current authorization to work in the United States.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience in technical program management, systems integration, or hardware/robotics engineering, including at least 3 years leading cross-functional technical programs.
  • Experience building and managing integration plans, including schedules, milestones, dependencies, and risk mitigation for complex electromechanical systems.
  • Strong technical understanding of systems engineering, system bring-up, integration testing, and interfaces between hardware, firmware, and software.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical discussions directly with engineers and accurately represent their work to cross-functional partners and leadership.
  • Proficiency with Jira and Confluence, and comfort building dashboards or reports that make program health legible.
  • Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Current authorization to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with humanoid robotics, autonomous systems, aerospace, automotive manufacturing, or other complex electromechanical platforms.
  • Familiarity with hardware, firmware, and software release processes and configuration management.
  • Direct experience designing, standing up, or scaling HIL test systems, automated test frameworks, or simulation-based validation environments.
  • Background in reliability tracking, issue management, and root cause analysis.
  • PMP/PgMP certification or equivalent practical rigor.
  • Master's degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Senior Manager of Systems Integration and Mechanical, Electrical, Firmware, and Software leads to turn program goals into sequenced integration plans with clear owners, dependencies, and dates.
  • Maintain the integration Jira project and dashboards, including asset status, build milestones, bugs, and program tracking cadence.
  • Lead planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, and align sprint goals with broader program milestones.
  • Identify dependencies on partner teams early and bring them into planning discussions.
  • Own the roadmap and timeline for the HIL test capability, partnering with the HIL architect and cross-functional team to drive automated test development and test coverage across subsystems and full systems.
  • Provide program-level visibility into test coverage, automation status, and failure trends, and use that information to support ship decisions.
  • Coordinate benches, rigs, and simulation environments required for HIL testing and remove blockers to testing.
  • Develop a working understanding of the robot's architecture and interfaces to identify integration gaps before they become schedule risks.
  • Facilitate technical discussions across hardware, firmware, and software teams to resolve interface questions and surface risks early.
  • Represent engineering work clearly and accurately in cross-functional and leadership reviews.
  • Track cross-functional issues, risks, and dependencies through resolution, escalating significant items with clear recommendations.
  • Maintain dashboards, status reports, and documentation that make integration status understandable to engineers and program leadership.
