About The Position

Amazon Leo is an initiative to build industry-changing technology by creating a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO) to provide fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities globally. The Leo Commerce Org's centralized Technical Program Manager team is looking for individuals to shape the future of how the organization builds culture and delivers transformational outcomes. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive long-term strategy for critical programs at the intersection of business and technology. As a Sr. Technical Program Manager, you will tackle complex business and technology challenges, collaborating with engineering, product, and business teams to deliver globally scalable solutions. You will thrive in ambiguity, using technical judgment to question assumptions, validate requirements, and solve problems proactively. Your collaborative approach and problem-solving expertise will be essential in managing diverse stakeholder requests and driving operational excellence across multiple programs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • 3+ years of software development experience
  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Familiarity with a variety of project management tools, methodologies, and techniques for all phases of the project life-cycle
  • Demonstrated proficiency in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality, and risk management, reporting, and metric development/tracking.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
  • Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage technical requirements for test, verification, and harness of complex systems.
  • Decompose technical requirements for test into software and hardware requirements aligned with development, manufacturing, and verification test strategy.
  • Identify and manage the conduct of trade studies and analyses necessary to define automated test station hardware and software requirements.
  • Manage a large number of dependencies across many engineering disciplines to ensure development schedules are met.
  • Develop program and team processes and tools, as required.
