About The Position

Join a specialized, high-impact Cisco team building and scaling next-generation AI cloud infrastructure solutions, including Nexus-One. The team integrates compute, networking, storage, and security into cohesive, automated platforms to address complex modern data center challenges. As a Senior Technical Marketing Engineer and technical leader, you will serve as the primary technical authority for the AI infrastructure platform, connecting engineering development with customer-facing deployment. You will own the technical narrative and validate the end-to-end solution lifecycle against enterprise requirements. By translating field feedback and adoption blockers into actionable technical requirements, you will influence the product roadmap and help prepare the technology for global scale. Your work will shape how customers understand, adopt, and realize value from Cisco’s product innovations.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 12 years of professional experience, or a Master’s degree and 8 years of professional experience.
Experience in technical marketing, solutions architecture, systems engineering, or platform/site reliability engineering.
Experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters in production or production-like environments, including container orchestration, networking, and storage integrations.
Experience developing infrastructure automation using scripting languages such as Python or Go, or infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
Experience creating and delivering technical presentations or documentation for technical audiences, such as white papers, deployment guides, or architectural design reviews.
Experience with AI/ML infrastructure, specifically managing GPU clusters, model training pipelines, or AI-workload placement within Kubernetes.

Nice To Haves

Technical knowledge of high-performance networking technologies, including RDMA over Converged Ethernet (RoCE), lossless Ethernet, or low-latency data center fabrics.
Experience with public or private cloud platform services, including multi-tenancy, identity and access management, and observability frameworks.
Operational experience with performance benchmarking.
Experience working in agile, rapid-growth environments where product requirements and technical priorities evolve continuously.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain reference architectures and validated deployment patterns for AI-driven cloud infrastructure.
Operate full-stack lab environments to validate Day 0, Day 1, and Day 2 workflows, including automation, scaling, and security controls.
Collaborate with engineering and product management to identify product gaps, resolve adoption blockers, and define technical readiness criteria.
Create technical assets, including white papers, deployment guides, demonstration videos, and workshops, to enable internal field teams and external partners.
Represent the product and technical strategy in customer workshops, executive briefings, and strategic industry forums.
