Senior Technical Marketing Engineering Leader
About The Position
As a Senior Technical Marketing Engineer and Technical Leader, you will serve as the primary technical authority for Cisco’s AI infrastructure platform, bridging engineering development and customer-facing deployment. You will own the technical narrative and validate the end-to-end lifecycle of solutions to ensure they meet the demands of enterprise environments. You will translate field feedback and adoption blockers into actionable technical requirements, influence the product roadmap, and help prepare the technology for global scale. Your work will shape how customers perceive, adopt, and derive value from Cisco’s new product innovations. The role is part of a specialized, high-impact organization focused on Cisco’s strategic evolution into the AI Cloud Infrastructure market. The team builds and scales infrastructure solutions, including Nexus-One, integrating compute, networking, storage, and security into automated platforms. It operates with startup-like agility to turn innovations into deployable, enterprise-grade solutions for modern data centers. This is a hybrid role requiring two days per week in the Milpitas, California office. The application window is expected to close on November 22, 2026.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 12 years of professional experience, or a Master’s degree and 8 years of professional experience.
- Experience in technical marketing, solutions architecture, systems engineering, or platform/site reliability engineering.
- Experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters in production or production-like environments, including container orchestration, networking, and storage integrations.
- Experience developing infrastructure automation using scripting languages such as Python or Go, or infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Experience creating and delivering technical presentations or documentation for technical audiences, such as white papers, deployment guides, or architectural design reviews.
- Experience with AI/ML infrastructure, specifically managing GPU clusters, model training pipelines, or AI-workload placement within Kubernetes.
Nice To Haves
- Technical knowledge of high-performance networking technologies, including RDMA over Converged Ethernet (RoCE), lossless Ethernet, or low-latency data center fabrics.
- Experience with public or private cloud platform services, including multi-tenancy, identity and access management, and observability frameworks.
- Operational experience with performance benchmarking.
- Experience working in agile, rapid-growth environments where product requirements and technical priorities evolve continuously.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain reference architectures and validated deployment patterns for AI-driven cloud infrastructure.
- Operate full-stack lab environments to validate Day 0, Day 1, and Day 2 workflows, including automation, scaling, and security controls.
- Collaborate with engineering and product management to identify product gaps, resolve adoption blockers, and define technical readiness criteria.
- Create technical assets, including white papers, deployment guides, demonstration videos, and workshops, to enable internal field teams and external partners.
- Represent the product and technical strategy in customer workshops, executive briefings, and strategic industry forums.
