About The Position

The Senior Technical Consultant (ServiceNow) will lead technical delivery, support platform operations, and mentor junior team members. This role serves as the bridge between stakeholders, platform administration, and development, ensuring work is properly triaged, defined, and delivered with quality. The ideal candidate combines hands-on development expertise, strong business acumen, and generalist knowledge across the ServiceNow platform to drive scalable, sustainable solutions.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of ServiceNow experience
  • Strong hands-on development expertise
  • Client-facing consulting experience
  • Generalist knowledge across ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, SPM, and SecOps
  • Experience leading delivery and guiding teams
  • ServiceNow CSA Certification
  • ServiceNow CAD Certification

Nice To Haves

  • One or more CIS certifications (ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, SPM, secOps)

Responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and define outcomes
  • Lead workshops and align on scope, priorities, and definition of done
  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable technical solutions
  • Provide mentorship and oversight to an entry-level apprentice administrator
  • Guide the admin in acting as the first line of support, including: Ticket intake, triage, and prioritization; Initial troubleshooting; Routing work to developers
  • Ensure all work is clearly defined and properly scoped before development
  • Design and guide solutions across ServiceNow workflows, including: ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, SPM, and SecOps
  • Maintain a generalist understanding across modules to support cross-functional delivery
  • Ensure solutions align with best practices and long-term scalability
  • Perform and guide development including: Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes; Flow Designer and integrations
  • Review and validate developer work to ensure quality and standards
  • Troubleshoot complex issues and drive resolution
  • Enforce platform standards and best practices
  • Ensure proper balance between configuration and customization
  • Reduce technical debt and maintain platform health
  • Mentor junior team members and support skill development
  • Promote structured processes for intake, triage, and delivery
  • Enable a scalable and efficient team operating model
