About The Position

The Senior Technical Business Analyst serves as a strategic connector between learning, workforce capability, data, and technology initiatives across Advanced Digital Education (ADE). The role uses systems thinking, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement to identify opportunities, define business and technical requirements, and guide improvements to learning experiences, workflows, reporting, and digital capabilities. The analyst works across technical and non-technical teams to translate organizational needs and evidence into actionable requirements that support workforce development, adoption, measurement, and continuous improvement. The position considers business and technical engineering/IT needs to ensure digital products and operational workflows meet business objectives. It performs cost, benefit, and risk analysis and recommends alternatives throughout the product lifecycle. The analyst collaborates with stakeholders and users to document business and system requirements; analyzes data; translates business requirements into technical specifications, acceptance criteria, user experience requirements, and system validation; and considers the complete technical and non-technical solution. Specifications support Engineering/IT design, product build or acquisition, and integration. The role may assist product and operations leaders with coordinating deliverable deployments and contributes to product documents, project charters and plans, work assignments, target dates, and other assigned work. The analyst applies systems engineering methods throughout product and project lifecycles; researches, analyzes, and validates requirements; defines scope boundaries for basic and routine products; and plans and monitors scope estimates and schedules. The role uses root cause analysis to assess problems and develop solutions, interprets vendor solution architecture and translates it into integration scope and technical requirements, and helps define implementation change-management requirements for products that do not require formal Implementation Team resources. Demonstrated experience leading teams in a Product Owner capacity is expected. This is a hybrid position. The employee must be located within 100 miles of a Mayo Clinic campus for occasional on-site expectations based on business needs.
