About The Position

The Senior Technical Business Analyst serves as a strategic connector between learning, workforce capability, data, and technology initiatives across Advanced Digital Education (ADE). The role uses systems thinking, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement to identify opportunities, define business and technical requirements, and guide improvements to learning experiences, workflows, reporting, and digital capabilities. Working across technical and non-technical teams, the analyst translates organizational needs and evidence into actionable requirements that support workforce development, adoption, measurement, and continuous improvement. The analyst considers business and technical engineering/IT needs to support quality digital products and operational workflows that meet or exceed business objectives. The role conducts cost, benefit, and risk analysis for proposed products or services and recommends alternatives throughout the product life cycle. It collaborates with stakeholders and users to synthesize, articulate, and document business and system requirements; analyzes data; translates business requirements into technical and engineering specifications, acceptance criteria, user experience requirements, and system validation; and considers the complete technical and non-technical solution. Engineering/IT uses technical specifications for final design and product build, acquisition, or integration. Depending on the product, the analyst may help product and operations leaders coordinate deployment of deliverables. The role contributes to product documents, project charters and plans, work assignments, target dates, and other aspects of assigned work, and applies systems engineering methodologies throughout the product and project lifecycle. It researches, analyzes, and validates requirements; establishes clear scope boundaries for basic and routine products and technical requirements; plans and monitors estimates and schedules; and uses root cause analysis to assess problems and proactively propose solutions. The analyst also interprets vendor solution architecture to define scope and integration specifications for Mayo Clinic systems and operational workflows, helps define change management requirements for products not requiring formal implementation team resources, and brings demonstrated experience leading teams in a Product Owner capacity. This is a hybrid position. The employee must be located within 100 miles of a Mayo Clinic campus for occasional on-site expectations based on business needs.
