Chapter 2 is a rapidly growing embedded talent business that partners with high-growth startups and scale-ups. They act as the talent function for their clients, building hiring infrastructure and delivering results. This role is for a client, a publicly traded, high-velocity technology business in Chicago, seeking a Senior Recruiter to build a modern, AI-native sales hiring engine from the ground up. This is not a role for someone looking to maintain an existing process, but rather for a scrappy, high-agency operator who wants to architect something new using AI. The Senior Recruiter will own end-to-end sales hiring for the Chicago organization and broader US footprint. This includes designing and automating sourcing, screening, and pipeline workflows using AI tools like Claude Code, analyzing funnel conversion, partnering with hiring managers on strategy and structured interviewing, and ensuring a high-caliber candidate experience. The ideal candidate is a "scrappy operator" who has built hiring processes from scratch, possesses high IQ and agency, is genuinely AI-native (already using tools like Claude Code or Cursor), has a strong track record in sales recruiting (AE, SDR leadership, GTM hires) for growth-stage or publicly traded tech companies, is comfortable with ambiguity, and is based in Chicago or willing to be on-site three days a week. The role involves direct partnership with a senior commercial leader with a mandate to increase sales talent density, move fast, and leverage AI.
