About The Position

The Boeing Company is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer - Product Owner for its Government Vehicle Health Management Systems (GVHMS) team in Hazelwood, Missouri. The team develops vehicle health management solutions intended to enhance mission readiness and operational efficiency across aerospace platforms. The role leads work in lab testing, requirements development, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), system integration, testing, and verification, ensuring systems perform effectively and meet customer standards. The engineer collaborates with software developers, test engineers, customers, and external partners in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.

The position is expected to be 100% onsite at one of the listed location options. It requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret clearance, with an interim clearance required before starting and a final clearance required after starting. The position is not contingent upon a program award and is not safety sensitive. Boeing will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status. Relocation may be offered based on candidate eligibility.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret clearance; interim clearance is required pre-start and final clearance post-start.
• 14 or more years of systems engineering experience, including requirements definition, allocation, verification, architecture design, and trade design.
• At least 3 years of experience building stakeholder and customer relationships.
• At least 3 years of experience leading or managing projects and/or teams.
• U.S. citizenship is required to obtain the U.S. Government security clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
• Experience with Agile Development.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to lead by influence.
• Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
• Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain product roadmaps and system lifecycle plans.
• Develop, document, and verify requirements.
• Develop project schedules and track performance.
• Develop and organize work items for the software team.
• Integrate GVHMS system components to meet customer requirements.
• Coordinate regularly with the customer.
• Document team plans and status, and develop meeting agendas and presentations.
• Analyze process compliance and actively work on improvements.
